Joseph Le

Joseph is the Legislative Director for House Minority Leader Tom Sawyer since June 2019. He previously had been the Operations Director in the same office as well as the Agenda Clerk within the last 2 years. Joseph began his time in the Kansas Legislature interning for former House Assistant Minority Leader, Stan Frownfelter.

 

Joseph started his political career as an intern for the Kansas Democratic Party, in the Third Congressional District, after the 2016 Presidential election.

Most recently, Joseph was appointed by the City of Lawrence Mayor Lisa Larsen to serve on the Douglas County Community Corrections Advisory Board in September 2019.

Joseph is a graduate of the University of Kansas double majoring in Political Science and Psychology, BA. In addition to his academic work, he spent a considerable amount of time working for his University's IT department as well as for General Dynamics' IT department, where he worked on troubleshooting the Affordable Care Act (ACA) website during the Obama Administration.

In his free time, Joseph religiously follows NCAA Men's Basketball while rooting for the KU Jayhawks, tinkering with technology, and also spending time with his Akita, Emi.
